Cossi Costruzioni, a subsidiary of Italian contractor Webuild, has been awarded three contracts worth €210m by Autostrade per l’Italia, the country’s largest motorways concessionaire.
The company will work on maintaining and upgrading a motorway in Fiano Romano, north of Rome, for €91m, another between Genoa and Milan for €65m, and a third between Bologna and Florence for €54m.
Pietro Salini, Webuild’s chief executive, said: “Webuild begins its activities in the maintenance sector with great determination. It does so, through Cossi’s expertise.
“Investing in new infrastructure, and maintaining existing assets that have exceeded their design life, is a priority for Italy now. The Webuild Group is ready and willing to support our country with the entire production chain involved in our projects. In this case, 7,000 small and medium-sized companies can contribute to Italy’s recovery.”
