Vinci announces 11 winners of its Catalyst programme to help innovative start-ups

French construction group Vinci has selected 11 firms for its Catalyst programme, which aims to help start-ups to commercialise innovative products or services.

The 11 companies specialise in construction, infrastructure, mobility, real estate, robotics, or worker safety. Catalyst will give them access to Vinci’s constituent companies and management, and easier access to French and European markets.

The 11 firms selected, and their innovative ideas, are:

  • Waycare (US): A cloud-based communication system that hopes to improve traffic safety.
  • AOS (France): The digitising and optimizing of the call-for-tender process in construction procurement.
  • Combo Solutions (France): A way for construction and real estate firms to lower carbon emissions to meet French RE2020 regulation.
  • Converge (UK): Combining artificial intelligence (AI) and physical sensors to digitise construction.
  • Hiboo (France): A way of centralising data gathered from connected equipment.
  • Holobuilder (US): An AI-driven enterprise-grade 360° progress documentation and analysis platform for construction projects.
  • Spacemaker (Norway): An AI-based technology that analyses and evaluates optimal designs based on physical data, regulations and preferences.
  • Kenzen (US): A wearable smart patch that can prevent heat-related fatigue and over exertion.
  • Smartvid.io (US): A “safety suite” that can predict risk and reduce incident rates by 30%.
  • CivDrone (Israel): A drone-based surveying system.
  • Direxyon (Canada): A way of optimising the choice of investment options.

Vinci’s Catalyst programme is part of its Leonard project, a larger initiative to grow businesses.
