UK consultant Turner & Townsend has headhunted a former employee to help it win work in China’s manufacturing sector, with a particular emphasis on high-tech projects.
Tino Chang (pictured) has 18 years’ experience in the professional consultancy and construction industry. He has spent the past three leading the business development operation for YZJ Group, a Chinese company that covers the pharmaceutical, real estate and construction sectors. Prior to this, he spent 10 years as head of T&T’s cost management team in Shanghai.

Nick Townsend, managing director for T&T Northeast Asia, said: “Despite the challenges facing the Chinese economy, we see clients turning to us more and more as they need tighter control of their capital projects.

T&T has six offices in China, and recently relocated staff to boost its Asian business.
