Swedish builder Skanska has won a $110m contract to build a distribution facility for American delivery company FedEx in Maspeth, in the Queens district of New York City.
Skanska’s work on the 26,000 sq m two-storey distribution facility includes the paving and demolition of three unoccupied buildings.
The project will contain office space on the ground floor and a precast concrete access ramp for second-level employee parking housing 45 truck-loading bays.
Work on the project is due to be completed in September 2023.
