Skanska USA has set up a “data solutions team” to improve project efficiency, cost certainty, client value, and employee satisfaction.
Led by company veterans Will Senner and Amy Jones, it will try to make data created day to day accessible through “easy-to-use tools and dashboards”.
Chief strategy officer Anita Nelson said the move followed early investments in data infrastructure that had “yielded great outcomes”.
The company will also use artificial intelligence and predictive analytics to manage risk better.
It recently launched a dashboard for tracking trade partner schedules, workforce, and percentage completion data.
