Skanska to modernise Czech Republic rail stations

Skanska has signed a €48m contract with the Czech Republic’s railway administration to modernise the Chrastava and Hrádek nad Nisou railway stations in north Bohemia.

The project will allow trains to travel at increased speeds on the network.

Skanska’s will install 4km of track, 14 switches, station security systems, four barrier-free platforms, bridges, crossroads, station buildings and a small bus terminal in Hrádek.

Work is due to begin in September and be completed in December 2025.
