Swedish contractor Skanska has teamed with SG Contracting to build a “Signia by Hilton” hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.
The 40-storey, 114,000 sq m building will contain 975 guest rooms and 7,000 sq m of meeting and event space. It will also house a 620 sq m pool deck, outdoor event space, a market and two restaurants.
Skanska says that the project will achieve LEED Gold certification.
The $308m contract, which is worth $271m for Skanska, was awarded by the Georgia World Congress Centre Authority.
Construction is due to begin in April and be completed by 2024.
