Skanska has joined forces with Long Island contractor RJ Industries to win a $309m contract from the New York City Department of Environmental Protection to upgrade the Hunts Point Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility in the Bronx.
Work on the project includes the installation of in situ concrete, a prefabricated guardhouse and walkway bridges as well as instrumentation and landscaping.
Skanska’s share of the project is worth $248m.
Construction is due to begin in spring 2022 and be completed by March 2026.
