Swedish contractor Skanska has signed a $178m contract to build the Women and Children’s Health Building for Christiana Care Health System in the US state of Delaware.
The eight-storey, 36,000-square-metre scheme will include a neonatal intensive-care unit, expanded outpatient units, as well as a laboratory, pharmacy and dietary clinic.
The project includes an extension to a a four-level parking garage for patients and visitors, which Skanska was previously awarded.
Construction is under way and the project is slated for completion in January 2020.
Skanska has recently been awarded a $150m contract for a hotel in Nashville and a $180m contract to expand a cardiac centre in Florida.
