Belgian heavy machinery maker Sarens has unveiled a new version of its Sarens Giant Crane (SGC) 120 with 45% more load capacity and the same compact footprint.

The SGC-120/1 has a load capacity of 140,000 T/m and can exceed 3,500 tons, the company said.

It can be set up in five weeks, which Sarens said makes it useful for large infrastructure projects, offshore wind installations and nuclear sites.

Like its predecessor, the SGC-120, it uses a ring system that distributes ground pressure so it can operate in a variety of terrains.
