US consulting engineer Parsons has won a $53m, three-year contract from the Royal Commission for Riyadh City to supply programme management services on series of road projects.

Parsons will manage all major highway development in Riyadh, which it expects to add up to 500km of new and upgraded routes. The aim is to tackle congestion and to boost the network before Saudi Arabia hosts the 2034 FIFA World Cup finals and Expo 2030.
