Egyptian contractor Orascom will build a 67-acre expansion for the American University in Cairo.

Orascom will build five buildings, an underground service tunnel, infrastructure and landscaping.

The Campus 2026 project will contain three main areas: NextGen Student and Learning Living Spaces, the Technology, Research and Innovation Lab Building and the Extended Education Hub.

Orascom says the expansion has been designed to meet green architecture and sustainability standards.

In December 2024, Orascom gave the university the largest grant in its history.
