OHL, through its Judlau subsidiary, has obtained a contract valued at €86m to renew and replace all electricity and gas lines in Manhattan Island supplied by Consolidated Edison Company of New York Incorporated (Con Edison).
This contract related to the project awarded to Judlau by the New York Department of Design and Construction to renew the water distribution networks with the installation of 13,500 metres of new pipes in four Manhattan neighbourhoods.
In these areas, Con Edison holds electricity and gas lines that are directly or indirectly affected by work along the water distribution network. Judlau, through the contract awarded, has undertaken responsibility for design and construction of the necessary projects to construct, relocate, protect, maintain, modify, adjust and reconstruct all Con Edison services affected.
