The government of Tanzania will use the public-private partnership (PPP) model to implement nine major infrastructure projects including ports and toll roads.
The government has formed a special coordination department under the ministry of finance to oversee implementation, reports news portal InfraPPP World.
Sixty government officers have been given special training to implement the projects, which include two new toll roads and port expansions at Bagamoyo, Tanga, Mtwara, and elsewhere.
The projects are in the feasibility study stage, according to a government official.
