Swedish builder-developer Skanska will invest €47m in a 13-storey, 21,500-sq-m office building in the new Centrum PoÅ‚udnie office complex in Wroclaw, Poland.
The building is in the new business district and is expected to receive certifications including LEED Platinum, WELL Core & Shell, WELL Health & Safety Rating and Building without Barriers.
The project includes a public space for relaxation, walks and meetings.
Skanska said it will be the first office complex in Wroclaw to have "anti-smog pavement made of green concrete".
This concrete contains titanium oxide (TiO2) which, under the influence of sunlight, initiates photocatalysis, turning pollutants such nitrogen oxides into safe, simple compounds, Skanska explains.
Construction starts in September and is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2022.
Centrum PoÅ‚udnie is Skanska’s seventh development in Wroclaw. It will have a total usable space of about 85,000 sq m. The first phase, which consists of two buildings with a total leasable area of 28,100 square meters, is more than 60% leased, Skanska said.
Skanska develops commercial properties in Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania and Hungary.
