Dallas-headquartered engineering giant Jacobs has developed a free, online mental health-check tool that has been used 3,000 times so far.
Called "One Million Lives", it was created by Jacobs and mental health professionals, including organisational psychologist, Peta Slocombe.
The tool incorporates the screening tool, Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K10).
It also assesses early signs and recommends strategies, such as sleep, exercise and modifying social media use.
The mental health resources are provided by HelpGuide, a non-profit organisation.
Jacobs first launched the tool for employees but now it offers it to clients, partners, supply chain and communities.
"As our focus on positive mental health continues to grow, we introduced the One Million Lives tool to track and change our mental health – by starting conversations and reducing the stigma," said Jacobs Chair and CEO Steve Demetriou.
