The current holder of the largest cricket ground title is Melbourne Cricket Ground, also known as "The G", which can hold around 100,000 people.

When complete in two years’ time, the stadium will be the second largest in the world, ahead of the Michigan Stadium of the Wolverines American Football team (108,000) but behind the Rungrado 1st of May Stadium of the North Korean national football team in Pyongyang (pictured), which holds 114,000.
