A consortium led by France’s Vinci Concessions has been named preferred bidder for the CAN$200m public-private scheme to build the Regina bypass in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan (pictured).
If selected, Vinci and its partners will design, build, finance, operate and maintain the project for 30 years.
The bypass plan features new roads, service roads and overpasses that will make traveling around the provincial capital city of Regina faster and safer.
The consortium led by Vinci Concessions (37.5%) and consisting of Parsons Enterprises (25%), Connor Clark & Lunn GVest fund (25%) and Gracorp Capital (12.5%) has been designated by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure as the preferred bidder for the public-private partnership (PPP) contract.
It’s Saskatchewan’s first PPP and includes 400 lane kilometres of roads in total, 12 interchanges, and 38 other civil engineering structures.
Vinci said it would take approximately four years to build.
