Marigold Infrastructure Partners, a joint venture of France’s Colas Infrastructure, US engineer Parsons, and Canadian firms Francl Architecture, Fast + EPP and Stantec, will design, build and partially finance the 14km Valley Line West LRT project in Edmonton, Canada.
Three public-private partnership (PPP) consortiums were shortlisted for the contract in March 2020, but the two teams led by Aecon and Dragados, and Astaldi and Salini Impregilo (Webuild) were unsuccessful.
The project will be the second phase of the 27km Valley Line LRT, running 14km from Mill Woods through downtown to the west end.
The first phase of the line is currently under construction by TransEd Partners, a consortium led by US engineer Bechtel.
Construction on the second phase is due to begin in 2021 and be completed in 2026 or 2027.
