A subsidiary of Bouygues Construction has been awarded a contract valued at $490m to build a 6-star luxury hotel in Macau’s "City of Dreams" entertainment complex.
Casino and leisure developer Melco Crown Entertainment awarded the contract to Dragages Macau.
The project comprises 783 bedrooms including 10 villas, a casino, restaurants, conference rooms and a sky pool.
The 39-storey building will provide approximately 151,000 sq metres of floor space.

Dragages Macau will be responsible for the construction of core and shell, including reinforced concrete structure, structural steel exoskeleton, curtain wall and cladding.
Chairman and CEO of Bouygues Bâtiment International, Olivier-Marie Racine, said: "This project is going to become a new emblem for the city of Macau."
Works are now under way, and are scheduled to last for more than three years.
