Aecom signs global framework agreement with Shell

US-headquartered infrastructure firm Aecom has signed a framework agreement with oil giant Shell for the delivery of enabling infrastructure works around the world.

Projects will include roads, rail, airstrips, marine structures, power, telecommunications, water and sewerage systems, as well as offices, warehouses and workforce accommodation, Aecom said today.

An Aecom statement said Shell was seeking closer integration with specialist infrastructure providers to speed up the delivery of capital-intensive mega projects.

“This is the exciting next stage in the evolution of our relationship with Shell,” said Aecom’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Michael S. Burke.

Aecom has 92,000 employees in more than 150 countries.
