Construction Manager reports that firms will have the chance to bid for a place on an offsite housing framework being renewed by procurement specialist LHC, worth around £2bn.
The four-year framework is expected to offer work worth up to £1bn in England, £600m in Scotland and £400m in Wales.
The framework is made up of four workstreams: volumetric systems (including options for housing, apartments, adaptive pods, roof extensions and temporary accommodation), panelised systems, high-rise projects and turnkey low-rise projects.
Within each workstream, bidders can select which options they can deliver.
It is aimed at delivering housing apartments, adaptive pods, student accommodation, care homes, roof extensions and temporary accommodation, all using offsite systems.
The framework will be open for use by all public sector organisations including local authorities and registered providers.
The window for expressions of interest closes on 12 October.
