In a bid to expand in Asia, UK-headquartered consultancy and construction firm Mace has appointed Nick Brand to run a new regional hub office in Singapore, as Mace’s regional manager for Asia Pacific.
Brand has been a property executive at Barclays for the last 12 years, first as global head of capital projects, based in London, and in the last four years as the bank’s regional head of corporate real estate for Asia Pacific and the Middle East, based in Singapore.
Mace praised his experience in delivering complex capital investment and management programmes.
At Mace’s new office in Singapore, he will oversee activities across the region, where around 300 Mace staff are located.
"In the long term we see the Asia Pacific region as a hugely significant growth opportunity for our global business, and from his base in Singapore Nick will be tasked with making that a reality," said Jason Millett, Mace’s chief operating officer for consultancy.
Brand said: "It’s a hugely exciting time and I look forward to working with our clients – both existing and new – to deliver some fantastic results."
