Korean companies sign deal to help modernise Kyiv’s Boryspil International Airport

Hyundai Engineering & Construction and Korea Airports Corporation have signed a memorandum of understanding to modernise Boryspil International Airport to the southeast of Kyiv.

According to the deal, Korea Airport Corporation will provide analytical and advisory support and Hyundai E&C will ensure that development meets construction and engineering standards.

Hyundai has previously sought projects in Ukraine’s nuclear power plant and small modular reactor sectors.

Oleksiy Dubrevskyy, Boryspil International Airport’s director general, said: “We continue our prosperous cooperation with Hyundai Engineering & Construction and look forward to a strong partnership with the Korea Airport Corporation in the field of airport infrastructure modernisation.

“Our main mission is to become a high-tech European aviation hub, enhancing the investment attractiveness of Ukraine.”
