Machine manufacturer Kobelco will exhibit its 7-ton and 2-ton class battery-powered excavators, which are currently under development, at trade show bauma 2025, to be held in Munich from April 7 to 13.

Kobelco says its excavators can manoeuvre in tight spaces on urban sites, and are comparable in performance to diesel excavators in digging and speed.

The company says it is also developing fuel cell excavators.

It will also perform a live demonstration of K-DIVE, a remote operation system for construction sites, where excavators located in Denmark and Japan will be operated remotely from a cockpit at bauma.
