The Indian government has agreed to provide around $4.6m for the construction of 10 healthcare, education, and cultural facilities in Nepal.
The so-called “High Impact Community Development Projects”, or HICDPs, include five secondary schools, three clinics, a library and a monastery in five of Nepal’s seven provinces.
Local authorities will oversee their construction.
India’s embassy says it has funded 495 HICDPs in Nepal since 2003, including projects for drinking water, electrification, irrigation and social welfare.
