Hill wins bank HQ job in New Cairo, Egypt

New York-listed construction consultant Hill International has won a project management contract for a new headquarters for the Arab African International Bank in New Cairo, Egypt.

The project at 1-Ninety, Fifth District, New Cairo involves the design and construction of building with six floors above ground and three basements levels for car parking and other facilities, with a total area of about 25,300 sq m.

Completed in 2000, New Cairo is among the new districts built near the Egyptian capital to ease congestion in downtown Cairo.

"This is an exciting new project for us in Cairo," said Hill’s Africa Managing Director Waleed Abdel-Fattah. "We’ve already been privileged to complete and handover several major international banks’ headquarters projects in Cairo in the last five years, and this project adds a new bank’s HQ to our current portfolio."

Hill will provide project and construction management services on all stages of the project: design procurement and design management stage, construction management for construction and fit-out stage, and defects liability period stage.
