Hill International has won a contract to project-manage two "mega mixed-use projects" near Cairo, Egypt.
The schemes are "Taj City", a luxury residential and commercial development, and "Sairai", set to be "Cairo’s entertainment destination", the company said yesterday.
It was hired by Madinet Nasr for Housing & Development (MNHD), a public real estate development company.
Hill said Taj City will have "luxurious residential units, commercial areas, a world-class hotel, mall, expert medical facilities, and an international school".
Sarai will "feature a variety of residential, commercial, retail, and leisure ventures", Hill said.
Elsewhere in Egypt, China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) last month poured the foundations for the "Iconic Tower", a 385-metre-high office tower in the New Administrative Capital under construction 45km east of Cairo, Xinhua reported.Â
Billed as Africa’s tallest tower, it is one of 20 towers CSCEC is building for the new capital’s central business district.
