A joint venture between Webber, the US subsidiary of Spanish constractor Ferrovial and South Carolina’s United Infrastructure Group has been selected by the Georgia Department of Transportation to upgrade the I-16/I-75 highway in the city of Macon.
Work includes the widening and reconstruction of 7.4km of road and the construction of 21 bridges, as well as the widening of shoulders, the installation of concrete barriers and additional lanes along most of the section.
Work is due to be completed by the end of 2024.
