Ex-Saudi minister joins Aecom advisory board

14 May 2013

A former Saudi minister has joined the Aecom global advisory board – chaired by former UK prime minister John Major – to help the company expand its business lines and geographical presence.

Abdullah Alireza is currently vice chairman of Xenal – a Saudi company involved in energy, construction, infrastructure development, healthcare, real estate and more – and was previously minister of commerce and industry and minister of state.

He has also held other government posts and has worked with academic institutions and non-profit organisations to promote education.

John Dionisio, Aecom chairman and chief executive officer, said: "His Excellency Alireza possesses substantial experience and valuable perspective through his years of service with the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and as a successful, visionary business executive."

Other leaders in business and geopolitical affairs sit on Aecom’s global advisory board, including Goh Chok Tong, former Prime Minister of Singapore, and Deepak Parekh, Chairman of India’s Housing Development Finance Corporation.

The board helps Aecom grow in new regions and business lines.
