Egis-led team wins role on Bangkok’s new Orange Line

A consortium led by French engineer Egis is to offer project management and supervision services on a section of the Orange Line metro scheme in Bangkok.

A press release from the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand says the team also includes local firms MAA Consultants, Index International Group, Chotijinda Consultants and Thai Transit Solutions.

Egis is leading the technical aspects of section, including system assurance, system integration, as well as operations and maintenance.

In November 2024, Thai contractor CH Karnchang picked Aecom as lead designer for the Orange Line West in Bangkok

The 36km line will link Bangkok’s eastern and western districts. The section that Egis will work on runs between Bang Khun Non and Min Buri (Suwinthawong).
