With the topic of asylum seekers dominating headlines, CM deputy editor Cristina Lago met with one refugee, an engineer and project manager originally from Yemen, who loves his job with contractor, Kier.

To reflect the Christmas mood, BIMplus editor Justin Stanton explores the business of construction site catering and the eye-popping amount of turkey the festive season requires.

This month’s Jargon Buster on construction technology delves what “IFC” and “Cobie” are.

And GCR’s David Rogers speaks to two people intimately involved in the epic project to build the Grand Egyptian Museum through political upheaval, a pandemic, and more.

At 90,000 sq m, it’s bigger than the Louvre, and a work of astonishing geometrical complexity, due to open next year.
