CPB Contractors and John Holland will work in a 50:50 joint venture to deliver the US$2.8bn WestConnex Rozelle Interchange in Sydney.Â
The team will build what John Holland calls the "missing link" of the WestConnex motorway project.
The Rozelle Interchange will connect the extended M4 and the new M5 to the Anzac Bridge and Victoria Road. It will also provide a connection to the proposed Western Harbour Tunnel and Beaches Link project.Â
Michael Wright, Cimic Group chief executive, said: "Our construction, tunnelling and engineering expertise within both CPB Contractors and our engineering company EIC Activities are key to the successful delivery of the Rozelle Interchange, the last stage of the WestConnex project."

"This will also reduce congestion in the inner west and future-proof the motorway for links to the Western Harbour Tunnel further down the track."
Construction is due to start in 2019 and conclude in 2023.
CPB and John Holland have previously won contracts for Sydney Metro Northwest, Sydney Metro Stage 2 and the line-wide works package in support of the Sydney Metro City & Southwest.
John Holland is a subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company and CPB belongs to Cimic Group, which is ultimately controlled by Spain’s ACS.Â
