The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) have signed a memorandum of understanding to work together to support the development and growth in the built environment sector.
The two organisations aim to collaborate to raise standards among construction professionals and promote continuous professional development.
SACPCMP registrar, Mr. Butcher Matutle, said: "The SACPCMP has long-sought to foster relationships with organisations both locally and internationally for the benefit of the Construction Industry. The finalisation of this memorandum of understanding with the CIOB will facilitate the activities undertaken by both entities to promote transformation and development within the sector."
Petra Devereux, regional hub manager for Sub-Saharan Africa at the CIOB, said: "We look forward to working hand-in-hand with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions. This partnership will considerably benefit those working in construction management in South Africa, giving them greater access to benefits to enable them to work to the best of their abilities."
