The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) has announced plans to expand its academy into the MENA regions in order to help professional to gain technical skills relevant to the built environment.
The project is intended to create a series of global learning hubs where the CIOB can increase its influence and membership.
The CIOB Academy MENA was launched in the autumn. It began by offering local courses and in September will offer to its first in the Arabic language.
Justin Hall, the CIOB’s international training manager, said: “The vision of the academy is to lead and inspire excellence in the built environment by being the premier provider of training services in the construction sector, and to develop a collaborative knowledge-sharing culture among the global team using approaches that take into account peoples and regions.
“I have a real excitement and passion to ensure the academy is a success, so that we can continue with the growth aspirations and ensure other professionals from the built environment can access the CIOB academy around the world.”
