CIMIC Group subsidiary CPB Contractors has been selected for a US$120m (A$170m) contract by the Australian and NSW governments.
It will work the next stage of the Northern Road upgrade project, which will upgrade existing infrastructure between Luddenham and Glenmore Park in west Sydney.

The firm will upgrade 6.7km of road from two lanes to a divided four-lane alignment, with the provision of kerbside bus lanes at each intersection.
The construct-only contract with Australia’s Roads and Maritime Services is part of the larger US$2.6bn (A$3.6bn) Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan, aiming to improve transport in the region and develop the Western Sydney Airport at Badgerys Creek.
Juan Santamaria, CPB Contractors managing director, said: "Delivering next-generation infrastructure within operational roads environments is a core capability for CPB Contractors and during the works our absolute priority is the safety of our people and all road network users."
Construction is expected to begin in 2019 and conclude in 2022
