Chinese construction company China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) and Israel’s Tidhar Construction have been awarded the 8.6km interchange and roundabout project, which is part of the bigger Light Railway Transit (LRT) project in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Joint financiers of the approximately $135m project are the Addis Ababa City Administration and the Government of Ethiopia.
According to local media, another Chinese company working on the LRT project – China Railway Engineering Group (CREC) – has expressed concerns about the sluggish progress of the interchange road construction project.
