Dragages Singapore, subsidiary of France’s Bouygues Construction, has won a €113m contract to build six residential towers in Singapore using offsite manufacturing.
Sixty-five percent of the towers’ reinforced concrete superstructures will be factory-built and assembled on site.
Woodleigh Lane Residences is a development by CEL Unique Development (CELU), a joint venture consisting of Chip Eng Seng Corporation and Unique Real Estate.
Located in the heart of District 13, in central Singapore, the scheme will consist of six 15-storey buildings with a total of 805 apartments, as well as underground car parks and a swimming pool. The complex has a total of 58,641 sq m of floor area.
Nicolas Borit, CEO of Bouygues Bâtiment International, said: "We are going to see a complete disruption in the next few years: our clients expect ever more efficient and faster building solutions. Through the experience we have acquired on a number of projects, we are able to provide modular construction solutions today which fully meet their expectations, from design through to the construction of the final product."
The modules will be manufactured in a controlled environment, making it possible to optimise quality, safety and delivery times, Bouygues said.
Dragages Singapore has used the technique on a number of projects, including an extension to the Crowne Plaza Hotel, the Woodlands nursing home and the Clement Canopy 40-storey residential towers.
Works began in January. They will last 33 months, with handover scheduled late in 2020.
Bouygues Construction generates 16% of its annual sales in the Asia-Pacific region.
