Belgian contractor Besix and metal bridge company Matiere have signed a provisional agreement to design and build two flyovers, four pedestrian bridges, and a steel road bridge in the Gabonese Republic, West Africa.
The deal requires Besix to help Gabon’s Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure secure financing, after which work will start. The projects are scheduled to take 36 months.
The joint venture will build two 200-metre-long flyovers and four pedestrian bridges in the capital Libreville.
A new 200-metre-long steel bridge will cross the Abanga river in Ebel, a city on the major Transgabonese highway.
