A consortium of Bam, Bam subsidiary Interbuild and Belgium’s Groven+ have been selected by Belgium’s Urban Development Corporation (SAU) to construct the Frame building, a showcase development for Brussels’ Media Park.
The 8,157 sq m Frame will contain offices for media firm BX1 and educator IHECS Academy.
Bam said in a press statement that the six-storey Frame building was given its name as it provides a “framework for the development of a media-oriented ecosystem”.
Gilles Delforge, SAU’s director, said: “The Frame will be one of the first new buildings to be inaugurated as part of the Media Park.
“In view of its location, at the corner of Boulevard Reyers and Rue Colonel Bourg in Schaerbeek, it will be a flagship building in this new creative Brussels district dedicated to the media that the government of the Brussels Region plans to create, and whose operational development is being coordinated by the SAU.”
Work on the project is due to begin in June 2021 and be completed by 2023.
