Aecom, America’s largest design engineer, has announced that Troy Rudd will take over as chief executive after the retirement of Michael Burke, its current chief executive and chairman, on 1 October.

Poloni has worked for Aecom for 25 years, and was chief executive for Australia and New Zealand between 2014 to 2017, before taking her current role in the EMEA branch.

Burke, said: "I have been privileged to lead this incredible organisation and proud to see the positive impact our teams have made in building a better company and a better world.

"Troy has been core to these achievements and I am confident that Aecom will continue to thrive under his leadership. With Lara, their combined tenure and deep familiarity with the Company’s strategic initiatives uniquely position them to lead the firm forward and realise long-term success."
