The Hungarian government is considering a ban on towers higher than 90m in Budapest.
According to Hungary Today, there may be an outright ban on buildings taller than 90m, and structures between 65m and 90m will be judged on a case-by-case basis.
A 28-storey, 120m-tall tower designed by Foster + Partners and announced in October last year will still be built. This will be the headquarters for Hungarian oil and gas company MOL Group, and the tallest in Budapest when completed.

The headquarters will beat the Hungarian parliament and St Stephen’s Basilica, both of which measure 96m, and represent equality between religion and the state.
